About ACEF

Thank you for visiting www.ipcases.vn, the official website of the Asoka Creative Experimentation Fund (ACEF), a Fund for Science, Technology, and Innovation established in accordance with the Law on Science, Technology, and Innovation.

ACEF originated from a small law firm with a strong desire to experiment, to live differently, and to create in new ways. Rather than limiting ourselves to providing intellectual property legal services under client assignments, we aim to lead and spread the spirit of creativity, exploring new strategies for Vietnamese enterprises and intellectual property assets to reach the global stage.

At ACEF, every initiative is guided by the belief: "Born from IP. Built for IP." It is a place where everyone can contribute, learn, or benefit from community-driven projects, where each individual is inspired by the light of intellectual property that leads the way.

ACEF Foundation & Roadmap

Date of Establishment: June 26, 2025

Managing Entity: Asoka Law Company Limited (“Asoka Law”)

Action Roadmap: A continuous 30-year journey dedicated to implementing scientific, technological, and innovation-driven projects that enhance awareness and strengthen the practice of intellectual property in Vietnam.

Planned Initiatives: Publishing books, journals, and digital platforms on intellectual property; organizing training programs to enhance IP capacity for enterprises and communities; supporting independent creators in film, culture, or heritage; sponsoring or co-hosting projects that advance academic, technological, innovative, and commercial value of intellectual property.

Extensive expertise in establishing and managing legal departments for large corporations.

Provides corporate legal training, consultation, and representation in dispute resolution for enterprises.

18 years of experience in the life insurance industry, holding senior management roles at AIA, Generali, Manulife, and Sun Life, including Agency Office Director, Regional Director, and National Director.

Extensive expertise in developing diversified distribution channels in Vietnam, including branch networks, general agency offices, and full-time/part-time financial advisory teams.

“Mr. Nguyen Minh Quan has extensive experience in teaching and researching applied methodologies in legal English. He contributes his expertise to developing ACEF’s specialized English learning foundation for intellectual property, with the goal of advancing the linguistic capacity of Vietnamese lawyers and IP practitioners to meet international standards.”

Work Experience

 

8 years of experience in legal English translation and interpretation at courts, commercial events, and for foreign enterprises in Vietnam.

IELTS instructor for students in the joint program between the University of Economics and Law (Vietnam) and Birmingham City University (UK).

Academic manager responsible for designing and managing academic programs, and training IELTS instructors for international programs jointly run by the University of Economics and Law and Birmingham City University.

Legal English lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.
